It has allowed me regain a sense of pride & spark of interest in reconnecting with a community that has always played a part of my upbringing while growing up in the Bronx as an Afro Latino. It brings a great deal of joy to know that founder Siria Alvarez is at the forefront in preserving & bringing awareness to the culture for the next generation to embrace.
