👋🏾 Welcome back—and if you’re new here, bienvenidos and bungiú! We’re so glad you’ve found your way to Garifuna Market, where every product, post, and project is rooted in love for our people, our culture, and our collective future.
What started in 2019 as a mission to amplify Garifuna identity through design, cultural pride, and representation has now grown into something deeper. After a few years of dormancy, we’re not just back—we’re evolving.
So, what’s new?
We’ve reimagined Garifuna Market as more than a marketplace. It’s now a platform for education, storytelling, and celebration—a space for both Garinagu and allies to connect, learn, and grow together. Here’s what you can expect:
🧠 Educational Content – Interactive posts, videos, and digital resources that make learning about Garifuna history, language, and culture engaging and accessible.
🎉 Curated Events – Virtual and in-person experiences that celebrate our roots and empower our future—from heritage workshops to live panel discussions.
🛍 Limited-Edition Products – We're shifting from quantity to quality. Each item we release is intentionally designed and produced in small batches—true collector’s pieces that honor tradition and spark conversation.
🌍 Community & Collaboration – We’re building bridges across generations, geographies, and creative disciplines. Whether you're an artist, educator, or culture lover, this is your space too.
Why this matters
Representation isn’t a trend—it’s a responsibility. Every flag we print, every hoodie we stitch, and every story we tell is a thread in the tapestry of our legacy. The Garifuna Market is here to protect that legacy while inviting new voices into the conversation.
